FACS Newsletter Special/2004 Message from Brunei Darussalam Institute of Chemistry
With great pleasure the President and members of the Brunei Darussalam Institute of Chemistry (BIC) would like to extend our heartiest congratulation and best wishes to the Federation of Asian Chemical Societies (FACS) on the occasion to commemorate its Silver Jublee anniversary celebration in October this year. Being a member of FACS since 1985, BIC has benefited tremendously from attendance of the Asian Chemical Congress (ACC) by our representatives and received mutual cooperation in various fields of chemical activities.
The ACC constitutes one of the major events organized by FACS at biennial intervals, which serves in bringing all chemists from a wide area of the world covering Asia and Pacific regions with multifarious background of culture and traditions.
At the ripe and mature age of twenty¨Cfive years, FACS has achieved triumphant success in fostering interests and promoting its objectives in chemical applications among all member associations.
At this time and juncture BIC envisages for more prospective collaboration and support from FACS in regional and international conferences which will benefit our country, Brunei Darussalam, in the future.
